Anthony Ojukwu to head National human Rights coymmission.
President Muhammadu Buhari had Tuesday, written to the Senate to request the confirmation of the appointment of Anthony Ojukwu as Executive Secretary, National Human Rights Commission. The President had also last week written to the senate seeking the confirmation of nominees for the Code of Conduct Bureau.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki, read the letter to senators at plenary.
The letter read in part, “In accordance with provisions of Section 8 of the National Human Rights Commission Act 2010, I have the pleasure to present Mr. Anthony Okechuwku Ojukwu for confirmation as the Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission by the Senate”.
