A Bauchi-based political group, ‘Bauchi Concerned Citizens’ has called on Nigerians to re-elect President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 to complete his reforms and projects.
Secretary-General of the group, Alkassim Nuhu Abdulkadir made the call at a rally organized by the group in Bauchi in support of Buhari’s second term bid.
The group noted that Nigeria would retrogress if President Buhari is not re-elected because the reforms he started would be jettison and the country would go back to the dark days of corruption and profligacy.
According to him, the rally which had about 5,000 youths was meant to show solidarity to President Buhari and counter the rejection of his re-election by the Arewa Consultative Forum and the Northern Elders Forum at a news conference.
He said that the president deserved commendation on his fight against corruption and insecurity.
Comrade Abdulkadir appealed to the ‘cabals’ sabotaging Buhari’s government to allow him actualise his effort of making Nigeria better.
The group also commended President Buhari for rewarding Bauchi State with important federal appointments.
He therefore urged the appointees to use their offices in empowering the youths and facilitating developments to the state.
He also called on the state citizens to reciprocate by giving block votes to the president in the forthcoming 2019 polls.
